Here are some frequently asked questions and answers
What is neurodiversity? Neurodiversity is a term used to describe differences in neurological thinking in the brain. We are all wired differently, and these natural differences can impact how we think and learn. Some examples of neurodiversity include conditions like ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, or Dyspraxia. It's estimated that up to 20% of the world's population is neurodiverse.
My child is always in trouble at school or at home. Is my child beyond help? A child is never beyond help! Often getting into trouble at home or at school are actually cries from your child trying to tell you that they are desperate for support. They may not know what they need but this is where coaching can help them discover what is underlying the behaviour and practical ways of moving forward. Also, help for your child may need a wellbeing team who all work together to ensure your child gets what they need. This may look like seeing a psychologist to get a diagnosis, seeing a doctor to discuss sleep or mood problems and seeing a coach to help with mindset, practical support and communication.
What is coaching for young people? Coaching for young people is an interactive and fun way for your child - neurodiverse or not - to learn about themselves and how to thrive! Coaching empowers your child to move through anxiety and fear, helping them stretch outside their comfort zone, create courage, and pursue their dreams with confidence.
What age children do you work with? Generally I work within the ages of 7 - 13.
Do both parents need to be at child coaching or part of parent coaching? No, for child coaching, sometimes a parent will stay for a session, sometimes not. It depends entirely on you and your child. For parent programs, if your aim is to create family unity and enhance family communication plus work on parenting consistently, I would recommend that both of you do come to sessions but this is your choice.
Do single parents do your coaching programs? Yes they do! I have worked with many single parents, and blended families too!
I am neurodiverse, can you help me? Neurodiverse or not, I can support you with your parenting and help with communication, setting boundaries, dealing with meltdowns and more.
What is coaching for parents? Parent Coaching is an interactive and life-changing process that empowers parents with the tools and insights to nurture their relationships with their children. Many parents, perhaps including you, desire to parent differently than the way they were parented but struggle to meet this challenge in their day-to-day lives. Parent coaching will help you discover your own true parenting style, based on creating connection and cooperation.

It's a structured and effective approach designed to create meaningful and lasting change in your family's life.
